1. About SlakBot
SlakBot is a free Discord bot operated by Luca (Netherlands) as a private individual. By adding the bot to your server or using the website, you agree to these terms.
2. Free service
SlakBot is offered free of charge. There is no premium tier and no payment required. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features in the future, but the current core features will remain free.
The "Custom Bot" service (slakbot.nl/en/custom) is a paid service — see that page for its terms.
3. Acceptable use
By using SlakBot you agree NOT to:
- Use the bot to break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Spam, harass or threaten others using the bot
- Use the bot for illegal activities (NL/EU law applies)
- Try to reverse-engineer, scrape, or DDoS the service
- Resell or commercialise the bot's free features (custom bots licensed separately)
- Circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
Violations may result in the bot being removed from your server, account suspension, or in extreme cases reported to Discord Trust & Safety.
4. No warranty / liability
SlakBot is a hobby project provided "AS IS" without any guarantee. We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee 100%. We are not liable for:
- Downtime, data loss, or service interruptions
- Damage caused by bot misconfiguration on your end
- Discord platform issues outside our control
- False positives or false negatives in anti-scam detection
For paid Custom Bot tier (Enterprise), a separate SLA may apply — see contract.
5. Service availability
We track our uptime publicly at slakbot.nl/en/status. We aim for >99.5% monthly uptime but make no formal commitment.
Planned maintenance is announced via our Discord support server and the status page.
6. Intellectual property
The "SlakBot" name, logo, and code remain the property of the creator. You may not use the SlakBot name or logo to promote your own products without written permission.
The content of your server (messages, custom commands, etc.) remains your property.
7. Termination
You can remove SlakBot from your server at any time via Discord's server settings.
We reserve the right to refuse service or remove the bot from servers that violate these terms.
8. Custom bot service
For the paid Custom Bot service (see slakbot.nl/en/custom):
- Setup fee is invoiced upfront, hosting fee is monthly via SEPA
- 3-month minimum, then monthly cancellable
- Source code remains property of SlakBot creator (except Enterprise tier which includes a license)
- Specific feature scope is agreed in writing per project
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in our Discord support server and via this page (new version at the top). Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes go to the Dutch courts.
