TL;DR

In one paragraph

ProBot's headline feature is welcome cards with a background image — if that's all you need, it does the job nicely. But the moment you want streamer alerts, anti-scam OCR, game server monitoring or a proper levelling system: pick SlakBot. Plus everything is free, no tier juggling.

Where ProBot actually wins

No review is complete without the critical side.

🖼️

Welcome cards with image

ProBot's signature feature: visual welcome cards with server banner + avatar + text. For servers where onboarding revolves around first impressions, that's simply stronger.

🎵

Built-in music player

Gated behind Premium, but present. SlakBot deliberately doesn't include one — Discord's rules around music bots shift too often.

→ Choose ProBot

Frequently asked questions

Does SlakBot have image welcome cards? ▼

Not yet. SlakBot uses rich custom embeds with avatars and dynamic text — they look clean but don't render as a full background image. If image cards are critical, keep ProBot for that one feature and run SlakBot alongside for everything else.

Is SlakBot really 100% free? ▼

Yes. Every feature in this table is free — no credit card. There is no premium tier today.

Why no music bot in SlakBot? ▼

Discord's policies around music bots and YouTube playback have changed several times. Rather than build a feature that might get blocked tomorrow, SlakBot focuses on streamer alerts, moderation and levelling.

What happens to my data if SlakBot ever shuts down? ▼

You'll be notified in advance and can request a data export. See /en/privacy for the details.
